Who we are

The Resurrection Project (“TRP,” “we,” “us”) is a Chicago-based nonprofit organization. This policy explains what information we collect through trpimmigrantjustice.org and our immigrant justice programs, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect
We collect information you choose to give us when you sign up for updates, join our email or text message lists, register for an event or clinic, volunteer, or contact us. This may include your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, and any message you send us. When you visit this site, our website provider (Squarespace) also collects standard technical information automatically, such as your browser type and the pages you view. Donations are processed by GoFundMe, and its own privacy policy covers the information you submit on its donation pages.

How we use your information
We use your information to:

• Communicate with you about our immigrant justice work, including policy updates, know-your-rights information, legal services and clinic announcements, events, calls to action, and donation requests. We do this by email and, if you have opted in, by text message.

• Coordinate events and volunteer activities.

• Meet our legal and reporting obligations.

• Maintain and improve our website.

Text messaging
If you give us your phone number and opt in, we will send you recurring text messages, which may include donation requests. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and you can get help by replying HELP. No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for promotional or marketing purposes. We will not share text messaging opt-in data or consent with any third party, except as needed to deliver messages through our text messaging service provider.

How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

• With vendors who help us run our programs, such as our website, email, and text messaging platforms.

• When the law requires it.

• When you have given us permission.

Your choices
You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email, or stop text messages by replying STOP. To update your information or ask us to delete it, contact us at info@trpimmigrantjustice.org.

Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
