Legal  Assistance

If your loved one has been detained by ICE, and they live in Illinois, fill out the form and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

If you were placed in deportation proceedings and are not currently detained or if you need to speak to a legal representative about your eligibility for immigration benefits, register for a workshop below. This resource is available for Illinois residents only.

Immigrant Legal Support Program

Immigrant-serving organizations across the state provide free immigration assistance to eligible immigrants living in Illinois through the Immigrant Legal Support Program (ILSP). 

Once you register, a legal representative will contact you within two business days to gather the information needed to provide a direct referral to an immigration assistance workshop OR to an appointment with a partner in our network.  

Support Available:

  • Legal screenings: A legal representative will evaluate your case and explain your options 

  • Application help: If eligible, help preparing and submitting immigration applications 

  • Preparation and accompaniment to an ICE check-in appointment or Immigration Court hearing

In-House Immigrant Justice Legal Clinic 

The Resurrection Project offers high-quality immigration legal services aimed at keeping Illinois immigrant families together.
